What’s up, dudes!
Here’s a fantasy art commission that I want to share with you! And requested by the awesome Scott Needham, creator of Quickstrike and Ignition Crisis series! And these characters are (from left to right): Viper (the ninja), Whistler (the elf slave), Sarah (the sorceress elf) and Carl (the warrior)
Don’t ask me why Sarah is naked. Enjoy!
What’s up, dudes!
Well, it seems that I didn’t make as much art as I thought I would for August, I wish I could had made more arts for this month. Sorry that I couldn’t offer more in this month.
Anyway, here’s what I got for my dear patrons:
What’s up, dudes.
Since Adventure Time is (sadly) going to end next month, I want to make some fanarts dedicate to one of my favorite shows in Cartoon Network for one last time (and probably I’m going to make NSFW versions of these babies).
But, I’m not going to make one fanart for one character, but for each one of them on the list. the problem is I don’t know whom I’ll start to draw with. So I need your help to decide which character I’ll start with. And depending on the results, that will be the order that I will make these fanarts. So here we go!
These are the characters:

Let’s make something awesome for Adventure Time one last time!
Here’s how I made this fan art for last month. I tried new ways to color digitally, based on that french artist called Xaxaxa gueuzav. If you like to see more videos like this, subscribe to my new channel. Also, don’t forget to hit the Like button!
Also, I want to take this chance to say that I will no longer upload new videos in my old channel, and I mean the “Roberto Cova” channel on YouTube. The reason for this is that I’m moving my content to a new account, “Brother-Tico” channel. And the second reason for this is that I want to make my new account full of content of arts, illustrations, drawings, comics and other stuff related with these four only.
I will leave my old account for everyone to see and to tell them to go to my new channel. I’ll make a video for that soon. Anyway, thank you for watching!
What’s up, dudes!
Now, presenting my two waifus: Sunset Shimmer and Fluttershy.
I was going to color in the anime/cell-shaded way, but, for some reason, I ended up coloring in the “almost” soft-shaded way.

I got a job as a graphic designer (for the fifth time) in Ogilvy.
Now, when it comes to this name, we’re not talking about any other publishing company like the other four companies that II worked before, we’re talking about one of the biggest company, not only in Venezuela, but in the world! And also the oldest one! Established in 1948 by David Ogilvy, this company has 131 offices in 83 countries... and you know, you better check out their website to know more about Ogilvy and their work.
Now, I may be wrong about this, but some of you are thinking that, if I take this job, I’m going to quit my freelance artist job and I’m not going to make art anymore. Well, that’s not the truth. Just like I said in my previous post, I still love making art, I still love making comics and manga, but watching the reality and the situation that Venezuela is living right now, I’m starting to question my decision to work on my own as a freelance artist. On top of that, this is (perhaps) one of my worst years that I’ve ever been in my life.
I didn’t want to write this because this is too depressing, and I don’t want to bother you or upset you with these kind of sad things. But let me tell you what was going on in my life as a way to bend out this feelings: my PayPal account got limited due to some address problems; my Payoneer got hacked for a stupid mistake that I could easily avoided; even the Airtm website, the one that I can exchange my Dollars for Bolivars, got issues to make payments and took out some of the e-Payments that I needed to live.
However, little by little, all this problems were solved in one way or another: I got my PayPal account working again by fixing the address problem, but I can’t add my bank account anymore; I solved the hacking problem of my Payoneer account with Customer support, but, thanks to that f***ing hacker, Payoneer disable some functions that I needed to use, like making a payment to another Payoneer user, permanently (but I still can receive payments and use the card, so that’s the good part); the Airtm finally added Payoneer again, but in a bad timing, now I can’t use my Payoneer account for this website.
But, the true culprit to all this unfortunately events is me. I mess up a lot of things this year and last year. I made some stupid mistakes in the past. And, by the way I see it, I sabotage myself [in a very stupid way]. Where did I go wrong and get all this bad things...?
Even that my situation looks so sad, I feel relieved in some way. This could be a great opportunity to see and learn of how a BIG company works!
Back in the days when I was in university and was looking for a internship as part of my University’s curriculum, I didn’t know where to work or where to look for, until I went to Saatchi & Saatchi company for the first time. You have no idea how awe I was when I entered in the office for the first time, it was like another world! And the people who worked in that company in that time treated so good that it made me really wanted to work there! Unfortunately, I didn’t get the internship in that company, but Saatchi & Saatchi gave me a good experience. And also, it gave me a dream: to work in one of the biggest publishing company. And right now, I finally started to live that dream.
However, I’m in a big dilemma here: in part, I’m going to work with a big company that will give me a lot of experiences and a lot, but at the same time, I feel like I’m throwing the towel to my dream to work as a freelance artist. And after I went to the Oscar Olivares’ conference last Saturday, I feel more like that way (about Oscar Olivares’ conference, I will talk about about that later).
So you see, this is what happened in my life. And this is what made my decision to get a job for the fifth time. But, don’t worry about me, I find a way to balance my full-time job and my freelance job in some way. So, this is not the first time I got into this kind of situation. If you read this far, I want to thank you for take your time to read and understand my situation. I hope I didn’t bother you with all this sad post.
Thank you for reading.
What’s up, dudes.
Alright, this may sound like a sad post, but, I’m stating the facts of what’s going on lately.
The thing is that, I’ve been thinking a lot about getting a full-time job as a graphic designer (for the fifth time), and perhaps I will stay working that way for a very long time. Don’t get me wrong! I still love making arts and making comics and love to work as a freelance artist. But, watching the situation that is happening in Venezuela right now, makes me think that I may not keep living as a freelance artist anymore (well, not in this situation).. I’m not so sure if I can keep up like this for a little longer. The economy in Venezuela is getting from worse to even-much-worse than before, more than the times of Chavez when he used to rule Venezuela. Maduro is destroying the economy with his crazy and impulsive decisions that affects negatively to my country. And the hyperinflation is getting too high every day! (the highest in Venezuela’s history).
I’m scared that something terrible is going to happen.
So, perhaps is time for me to get a full-time job, just in case that anything bad will happen. And I will work as an employee until this situation change for Venezuela once and for all. Of course, I will still making art even if I had a job. But, my schedule will be very tight, considering that transportation is getting scarce these weeks.
So, what do you think? If you were in my situation, should I hold up and stay working as a freelance artist? Or perhaps is time to throw the towel and start to get a job?
